They'll keep Kuhn, Martin, Cole and either Montgomery or Hunter (but not both) because those guys will come cheap. Bigby will come at a price, he'll want more than he's worth trying to use last season's productivity as a bargaining chip.
Taucher will be interesting. Coming off a severe injury like that might be enough for him to sign a one year, incentive-laden deal with the Packers.

According to NFLPA, there's a 9% increase this year for RFA tenders. So with that added, here's the tender amounts and compensation for 2009:
• $1,010,430 for the prior club to retain the right of first refusal (ROFR) without any draft choice compensation; • $1,010,430 for ROFR or the club receives draft choice compensation equal to the draft round at which the player originally entered the league if they chose not to match an offer; • $1,544,530 for ROFR or the club receives one second-round draft pick if the offer is not matched; • $2,198,530 for ROFR or the club receives one first-round pick; or • $2,792,580 for ROFR or the club receives one first round and one third-round pick.
That said, here is what I would do for our RFAs: Atari Bigby S RFA Packers - Offer him the $1.5m tender because of his potential. Work out a long term deal during the season if he can show some more intelligent play Shaun Bodiford WR RFA Packers - No offer, practice squad caliber guy Jarrett Bush CB RFA Packers - Min tender, maybe no offer at all if we can draft a corner Tory Humphrey TE RFA Packers - Min tender, maybe none as we need a blocking TE Jason Hunter DE RFA Packers - Min tender, he's good for the depth chart at this point John Kuhn FB RFA Packers - Min tender, he's worth keeping only because there aren't better options right now Ruvell Martin WR RFA Packers - Min tender, he's performed when given chances, but he's not on anyone's wish list.
I doubt another team would go after any of those players other than Bigby, and at that price he should be safe. I don't like keeping him for that kind of money but he could develop into a decent guy in run support. That's at most $8.25m of cap space to keep 7 of 8 RFAs. Worth it as they all fit in special teams and rotation spots.
For the UFAs: Colin Cole DT UFA Packers - Gotta sign him as we have nobody else at the spot... Mike Montgomery DE UFA Packers - Short-term deal, he's a decent backup as long as he is getting paid that way Mark Tauscher OT UFA Packers - Let him walk... he's been declining and an older offensive lineman is not going to come back strong from a knee injury like that. Priority #1 for the offense is to find his replacement in the draft or free agency.

I am with you until we get to Tauscher..he graded higher then ANY lineman last year if nothing else he's a great insurance policy.

It all depends on how Tauscher comes back from injury. I'd say if he isn't ready to start by training camp he isn't worth the gamble. For a starting RT, you're probably going to be paying him $3-6m/year and regardless of our cap situation that is a lot of money to tie up in a guy who has been slipping and had a major knee injury. If they can sign him short term for little guaranteed money, sure, keep him.

He's a 31 year old 320lb guy with a torn ACL (same knee, 2nd time). Normal timetable will put his recovery at October, after the start of the season. Given his age, position; I would bet any money he starts the season on PUP and misses at least the first half of the year.
Like I said, if you feel good about his recovery and you can get him to sign cheap, go for it. If he wants top 10 starter money, no way.

I agree. If TT can get him to sign cheap he would be a good insurance policy. Either way i think its time to see if Colledge is the long term RT.
