Colledge is the designated LT replacement and backup for Clifton, but I have not heard where he is a candidate for RT.

Thats right. I still don't see Tauch being brought back next year. It will be interesting to see how Giacomini plays during camp but he probably isn't ready to start so that would leave either a draft pick or free agent. I guess all we can do with this one is to take a wait and see approach.

The list actually looks somewhat weak to me. If we lost many, not sure it would be a bad thing.

It all depends on how Tauscher comes back from injury. I'd say if he isn't ready to start by training camp he isn't worth the gamble. For a starting RT, you're probably going to be paying him $3-6m/year and regardless of our cap situation that is a lot of money to tie up in a guy who has been slipping and had a major knee injury. If they can sign him short term for little guaranteed money, sure, keep him.

Sorry UM but I think resigning Tauscher makes good sense..his injury is not as bas you make it out to be..no brainier resign Tausch

Uh, he's an older OL that blew out his knee. That's a fairly serious injury. I'd MUCH rather TT goes after a Jordan Gross in FA or drafts a couple of linemen in a rich OT draft. The ZBS calls for quicker more athletic guards. Tauscher would be nice insurance if he can be resigned cheap. So many holes, so little time to fill them!

We are no longer playing straight ZBS per MM. Since where mixing in power gap the "quicker lineman " rule is out the window. Read the packers by the numbers thread and tell me you wouldn't resign a guy who graded that high....no we must try to resign Tauscher.

I never want to lose a "Packer" let alone a Badger!!!! That being said, I don't see how we can resign Tausch. He won't be ready for TC and as was stated above, probably won't be ready for start of the season. I think the ONLY way he's a Packer this year is with a one year INCENTIVE laden contract as a back up.
